EPA Small Project Grants Announced; Do you qualify?

In the little review I have done, it seems that these grants are directed at non-governmental, non-profit (501(c)3) organizations that are addressing an environmental health impact that is known to affect a certain population more than the general population.  From what we learned at the Get the Lead Out Conference, we know that the population most at risk for renovation-related lead exposures are those with low-income, because they are more likely to live in pre-1978 homes that are poorly maintained, and those who do renovation work, (including non-professionals, painters, electritions, HVAC installers, plumbers, etc.), because they are regularly exposed to lead dust on the job.

If anyone is good at writing grants, and has an idea for a project targeting low-income populations (or other at-risk population, i.e. children), this would be a great opportunity. Whether it involves increasing awareness, lead dust risk assessment to target neighborhoods, increeasing blood lead testing for children or workers, providing RRP training, making HEPA vacs or other needed equipment for lead safe work practice available, help with getting paint stabilization supplies/training -- anything that would help to move things forward, would be a great help.  And, your agency would not have to do the entire project alone; you are allowed to partner with other agencies that would not qualify for the grant, such as a for-profit business, (a supply vendor/hardware store, contracting/training business) a governmental or semi-governmental agency (a school, county or state health department, OHCC).
